NIKE HYPERVENOM
The interaction between architecture and graphic design creates intentional coincidences and thus completely new perspectives.
Graphic Concept
For the purposes of an event, I developed a series of graphics for the Nike “Hypervenom” football shoes using their individual material components, various structures, typography and photos of some footballers. The design structures and patterns which form the basis for this concept were inspired by the stud patterns left on football fields by players’ shoe prints. The material of the shoe upper was also used as a design element, as it also features a homogeneous structure.
Colour Derivation
The distinctive yellow of the shoe and its various grey tones inspired my design’s reduced colour palette. This selective use of colour gives the concept a very striking and graphic character.
Spatial Projection
To bring these digital designs back to a real, physical environment, we used a high-performance projector to beam them onto diverse buildings at night. The interaction between architecture and graphic design creates intentional coincidences and thus completely new perspectives.
